Position Summary:
EDI is a customer focused, regional role. 80% of the developer’s time is face time and call time with the customer, both internal and external (trading partners). It requires complete understanding of processes for all supported environments (MSSI, NAC, PROBE)
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of all facets of EDI both technical and administrative.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner – both written and verbal.
- Customer service oriented – both internal and external.
- Good understanding of business processes and ERP as they relate to EDI.
- Good analytical/design skills for new development and maintenance of production.
- Ability to support multiple activities simultaneously.
- Proficient in use of Office Productivity tools.
- Ability to work as a member of a virtual team and travel when required.
Technical skills required:
- Gentran 5.3 for Unix with EC workbench.
- Should have working knowledge of the Unix command language, ability to read scripts (writing a plus) and ability to move through multiple environments/directories.
